Profile: Saponaria is a new small business hand making wonderful natural soaps and bodycare products inspired by nature using the highest quality natural butters, oils and other ingredients. The only animal product used is beeswax, this can be replaced by olive wax.
How do we know our products are safe and feel great on the skin? We test every batch we make ourselves. None of our products have been tested on animals … just family and friends!!
All our soaps are paraben, palm oil and SLS free, they are not drying and are good for sensitive skins. The reason we do not use palm oil, although it is a natural product, is because palm oil companies have bought licenses to log thousands of hectares of forest and turn them into plantations, regardless of who or what lives there. Orangutan habitats in Borneo and Sumatra are being clear felled at an incredible rate for conversion to oil palm plantations and quite simply that means that 50 of these amazing creatures are dying every day because their habitats are being destroyed and their nests burned.
Saponaria uses natural ingredients including flowers and spices, many sourced and grown locally.
Saponaria aims to share this rich bounty and in doing so give its users the chance to experience fragrances from England as well as others from around the world.

We run a handmade company and we intend to keep doing so, well it is the designing and making that we enjoy after all. None of our soaps, bombs etc will ever be made elsewhere.
We will always strive to use locally sourced or homegrown products whenever possible.
We will only use the highest quality products available, Fairtrade and organic where possible. We will not compromise quality for quantity or pricing incentives.
