Green Witch Crafts is a new Camberley-based business, owned and managed by Pamela Newton.
Over the years, Pamela has developed interests in an eclectic mix of crafts, including spinning, weaving, sewing and knitting as well as making candles, collectable teddies and restoring and upcycling unloved and unwanted items. Her real passion though, lies in the making of soaps, bath and shower products, balms, massage bars and other cosmetics. She wanted to know what was in the products that she was using, and making her own meant that she could design to order for herself and her family.
After a while, Pamela decided that if she wanted to continue making lovely things, she really would have to start to sell them (or there would be no room to move at home!). Finally, the positive feedback from family and friends (“You really should start selling!”) encouraged her to set up Green Witch Crafts.
She makes all her products herself, is fully certified by Cosmetic Safety Consultants Ltd, insured and meets all the standards required under EU Cosmetic Directives Legislation.She and her husband have tested the soaps and bath products themselves; their daughters and their families have also been eager and willing volunteers for each new product (there are two little boys who are always happy to try out the bath bombs!)
Green Witch soaps are produced using a variety of UK made glycerine bases, combined with carefully chosen botanicals and other natural additions, essential oils or skin-safe fragrance oils and colourings to produce a range of soaps for all occasions. There is even a solid shampoo bar that can double as a shower bar (great for travelling)
The bath bombs make a fun addition to bath-time – there are even some that produce bubbles! The bath melts and bath truffles are packed with lovely moisturising oils and butters, perfumed with essential oils and the truffles are rolled in flower buds and petals - Pamela makes a special muslin bag for the truffles because she hates having to clean up the petals left after a pampering bath and she is sure that you will feel the same way too. Her Bath Teas contain Epsom Salts and sea salts as well as lavender and chamomile, ideal for a relaxing soak after a hard day.
She is currently developing her range of facial oils, body butters, massage oils and solid massage bars and lip balms and will shortly be launching a Mother and Baby massage bar, specially formulated for baby's delicate skin.
In the coming months, Pamela will also be adding traditional Cold Process soaps to the Green Witch product range.
